BlueTechPort - Sant Bertran hosted the third edition of B-Blue, the business acceleration program by Barcelona Activa dedicated to blue economy start-ups.
Our director, Clàudia Parera, had the opportunity to be part of the jury in this edition. The decision was very challenging, given the high quality of the proposals presented by the participating start-ups: BLOOM, FLOC, Seamoretech, Retisolution, GreyTank, SHE SEA, Linked Crew, and BlueGreen Vision.
The award for the most innovative start-up was granted to FLOC, a project focused on the recovery of waste from pig slurry treatment. This prize, sponsored by the Port of Barcelona, was endowed with €10,000.
On the other hand, the award for the most sustainable start-up went to Seamoretech, a company dedicated to seawater desalination. This prize, sponsored by Costa Cruceros, also included a €10,000 grant.
This event reaffirms Barcelona’s commitment to innovation and sustainable development in the maritime sector, driving new projects that help transform the blue economy towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly future.
